Post the success of Balagam, director Venu Yeldandi has signed his new film in the production of Dil Raju. He has locked a popular star for his village drama.

Venu Yeldandi scored a massive hit with Balagam and won so many awards for the village drama. Dil Raju produced the family drama which won a lot of critical acclaim and also made decent numbers at the box office. Ever since the film was released, all eyes have been on Venu as to which hero he will team up with for his second film.
Venu Yeldandi locks his second film
We, at OTTplay, reported that Venu met Nani and narrated the script to him. But since then, there has been no update on the project. Now, news has come out that Nani has backed out of the project and none other than Nithiin has joined the film.
One of the sources close to the unit tells us that Nithiin recently heard the script, loved the story and agreed to come on board. The project has been locked and Venu is casting for the film as of now. Dil Raju will bankroll this film which is yet another another rooted story.
Tentatively titled Yellamma, the shooting of the film is expected to go on floors in January 2025. Nithiin is going through a bad phase in his career and is looking for a proper script. Dil Raju has made multiple films with Nithiin in the past and felt that apart from Nani, if anyone could do the film, it would be only Nithiin.
Dil Raju's daughter Ashrita Reddy will produce the film on her banner. Venu Yeldandi is a very popular comedian and was introduced through a Dil Raju film titled Munna, which had Prabhas as the main lead.
He is known for his comedy timing but when it comes to his debut film as a director, Venu made a heartwrenching film about feuds in a small family based in Telangana. We need to see what he has up his sleeve this time around.
