Not Mirzapur, but Ali Fazal ascends the throne in Rakt Bramhand; here's all you need to know

Rakt Bramhand: The Bloody Kingdom, starring Ali Fazal and produced by Raj and DK and directed by Rahi Anil Barve (known for the cult smash Tumbbad), is a much-anticipated fantasy epic. Netflix, where the drama will premiere, promises breathtaking graphics, gory action, and a captivating storyline set in a magical land. 

Ali Fazal's role as a monarch

Now, as per a report in The Times of India, in Rakt Bramhand, Fazal portrays a strong monarch who faces the turbulent trials of an exceptional realm. The actor will likely offer the depth and charisma that audiences have come to expect from him in this royal role, along with a dash of sarcasm and humor. His versatility and ease of transition between genres make him an ideal fit for a project that aims to fuse fresh storytelling with the grand visual spectacle of epic tales.

Barve, whose previous masterpiece Tumbbad revolutionized Indian fantasy filmmaking with its eerie fusion of folklore and visual storytelling, would be directing the next series. In Rakt Bramhand, the filmmaker takes a risk with a grand storyline, claiming to build an extraordinary world unlike anything seen on Indian television before.

Raj and DK’s enthusiasm for the project

The ambitious scope of the series has both Raj and DK, the producers, very enthused. This is uncharted territory, which makes it all the more thrilling for them. They shared in a press statement, expressing their opinions. They want to create a fantasy universe that is both new and evocative of the stories their parents and grandparents told them when they were kids. Rahi possesses the exceptional talent, and they are thoroughly enjoying their collaboration with him and their highly adaptable partner, Sita Menon, to realize this unique concept. The collaboration with Netflix has been fantastic, and they wholeheartedly support their unorthodox idea for Rakt Bramhand.

Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jaideep Ahlawat are some of the show's main actors.
