Not Aamir Khan, Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor were the first choice for Dhoom 3

YRF’s Dhoom: 3, starring Aamir Khan, became iconic for how the actor played a double role in the film. However, it looks like he wasn’t the only choice for Dhoom 3. Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor were also being considered for the role, at least for some time. Imran revealed the fun fact through his comments section on a recent post.

How was the information revealed

Imran shared a fun fact. He was not the first choice for Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola. The actor starred opposite Anushka Sharma and Pankaj Kapur in the movie. Before Imran, Ajay Devgn was supposed to play a role in the film.

Imran posted a photo on a bike, which got a fan excited. She told Imran that it would be amazing to see him in the Dhoom series. That is when Imran revealed that for five minutes, back in 2011, there were discussions about making Dhoom 3 with him and Ranbir Kapoor. The actor revealed that the makers never spoke about it again but it sure would have been fun for him too.

Dhoom 4 status

Abhishek Bachchan had recently confirmed that Dhoom 4 is currently not in the works. The actor believes producer Aditya Chopra would have informed him if the film was in the works. However, reports suggested that Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan are being considered for the role.

Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra are the constant actors who have been cast throughout Dhoom, a film focusing on the thieves over cops. Abhishek plays a cop and Uday plays a theif-turned-cop apprentice.

The original Dhoom starred John Abraham and Esha Deol in the lead roles. Dhoom 2 saw Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the thugs. Dhoom 3 focused on Aamir Khan in a dual role with Katrina Kaif as the female lead.
