The last shot of the just released Nodidavaru Enantare trailer has actor Naveen Shankar in a severely emaciated avatar, for which he was on a strict diet, which, in turn, caused the health concern

When the trailer of actor Naveen Shankar’s film Nodidavaru Enantare dropped, the last shot before the release date flashes on screen, had the actor bare-chested and wearing Bermudas only, near a small water stream. What was most shocking about it, though, was just how emaciated the actor was, with literally no fat content in his body, and his ribs sticking out. It was truly reminiscent of Tom Hanks in Cast Away, after he’d spent a while alone.
The process of the physical transformation scene for that scene, says director Kuldeep Cariappa, had caused Naveen a worrisome health concern. In a conversation with Kannada FilmyClub, Kuldeep revealed that Naveen had suffered a mild heart attack before canning that shot. “Nodidavare Enantare is a film in which you will see the best of Naveen as an actor. You will see an extreme version – physically and emotionally,” said the filmmaker.
The limits to which Naveen pushed himself for the film will be seen. “Naveen had to lose body mass for the role, and was on a special diet for the same. This was during the last schedule; we had to finish up a couple of days’ work and then head to Sakleshpur and Chikkamagaluru for one day each and wrap up the film. For this schedule, I needed him with the physical transformation. And then, the day before we were to leave for Sakleshpur, I get a phone call that Naveen’s suffered a mild heart attack,” said Kuldeep.
This happened because Naveen was pushing himself really hard to sport a certain physique, which, as seen in the trailer had him almost down to skin and bones. Despite this health setback, though, Naveen refused to break his diet until after the requisite shots were canned for the film.
