Director Vijay Menon’s debut directorial Njan Ippo Entha Cheyya is gearing up for its release. The movie, which has Deepa Thomas and Abhimanyu Gautham in the lead, will be direct-to-OTT release, as per the makers.

Vijay Menon is the son of yesteryear filmmaker, producer and screenwriter P Venu, who had helmed movies such as CID Nazir, Viruthan Shanku, Udhyogastha and Parinamam.

What is Njan Ippo Entha Cheyya’s story?

The film revolves around the relationship of two youngsters and the change in dynamics during the pandemic lockdown. Touted to be a dark comedy, the film had completed its shoot in January 2023.

Njan Ippo Entha Cheyya takes a closer look at the turbulence in the relationship of the two youngsters, as they embark on a roller-coaster ride of hope, love and sanity, during the lockdown, when are forced to spend majority of their time only with each other.

Deepa Thomas, who was seen in movies such as #Home and Sulaikha Manzil, plays the role of Dhivya in the movie, which has debutant Abhimanyu essaying the role of Arjun. The movie also has Shyam Mohan, Geetha Kailasam, Akshara Balaji and Sudhir Ravindranathan in pivotal roles.

The film is scripted by Smriti Amarendran and has music by Aravind-Jaishankar duo and Karthick Iyer.

When and where to watch Njan Ippo Entha Cheyya?

Njan Ippo Entha Cheyya is set to begin streaming on Saina Play on July 28. Saina Play has recently also released mainstream movies such as Lukman Avaran’s Jackson Bazaar Youth, Divya Pillai’s Simon Daniel, Roshan Mathew’s Chathuram and Antony Varghese’s Oh Meri Laila.

The film will release on OTT along with Naslen and Mathew Thomas’ Neymar, which is set to begin streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on July 28. The film, helmed by Sudhi Maddison, also has Shammi Thilakan, Vijayaraghavan and Johny Antony in supporting roles.
