Malayalam movie Premam has been re-released in Tamil Nadu theatres, much to the happiness of the movie's fans. The film is being screened in as many as 22 theatres across the state.
Even after eight years since its theatrical debut, the state is still seeing a resounding reception for the new-age romantic drama. Housefull shows are also taking place in several theatres as fans flock to see this Alphonse Puthren-directed film again. Many people have expressed their appreciation for the movie's re-release and shared clips from the theatre.

The film had run successfully in theatres in Tamil Nadu for over 200 days following its release in May 2015.
The romantic journey of George and his friends from adolescence to adulthood is chronicled in Premam. His romantic journey leads him through a number of phases, guiding him to discover his true calling and love.
In addition, Shabareesh Varma, Krishna Sankar, Soubin Shahir, Vinay Forrt, Siju Wilson, and Sharafudheen all had key parts in Premam. Anwar Rasheed bankrolled this film under the banner of Anwar Rasheed Entertainments. Anend C Chandran helmed the camera work for this movie.
After earning favourable reviews, Premam went on to establish itself as a Malayalam cult classic. This was particularly significant during a period of Mollywood film industry downturn caused by a few box office setbacks. Premam received great reviews from the audience, and it was a box office success, running successfully in theatres for several days.
