Nivin Pauly is currently going through the lowest phase of his acting career, with back-to-back underwhelming outings. The popular actor, who is now set to bounce back with some promising projects in his kitty, is currently on a break from the films, to get back into shape. If the latest updates are to be believed, Nivin Pauly is set to reunite with Premam director Alphonse Puthren after a long gap of 10 years, for the filmmaker’s comeback project.

Nivin Pauly and Alphonse Puthren to reunite soon?

According to the grapevine, Nivin Pauly is set to play the lead role in the upcoming Malayalam project, directed by Alphonse Puthren. Interestingly, the hitmaker, who previously announced retirement from films to focus on his mental health, has reportedly changed his decision. If the reports are to be believed, the celebrated filmmaker’s upcoming project, which will feature Nivin Pauly in the lead role, might get an official launch very soon.

When Alphonse Puthren announced retirement from films

For the uninitiated, Alphonse Puthren took to his official Facebook handle in October 2023, and announced his decision to retire from films. The celebrated filmmaker’s decision shook the audiences, who were eagerly waiting for the official announcement of his next outing. Earlier, the Premam director was supposed to team up with Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara for a musical drama, titled Paattu. However, the project, which was supposed to go on floors after the release of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Gold, has been shelved.

Nivin Pauly’s work front

The popular actor is gearing up to make his OTT debut soon, with the upcoming Disney+ Hotstar series, titled Pharma. Nivin Pauly will make a comeback to the big screens with the upcoming Ram directorial, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu, which is slated to have its theatrical release by the summer of 2025. The actor is teaming up with director Abrid Shine yet again, for the upcoming sequel to their super hit outing, Action Hero Biju. He is also teaming up with director Aryan Ramani Girijavallabhan, for an action film.
