Nivin Pauly confirms his next with 2018 director Jude Anthany Joseph

Filmmaker Jude Anthany Joseph will next join forces with Malayalam star Nivin Pauly. The actor-director duo confirmed the news on their social media handles while sharing a picture of themselves that captures their excitement. While Nivin promised that this time 'it will be a great blast', Jude revealed that the project will go on the floors soon. "Rolling soon with my brother," Jude captioned the photo. 

This is not the first time that Nivin and Jue are working together on a movie. Nivin was the male lead in Jude's directorial debut Ohm Shanthi Oshaana (2014). The coming-of-age romantic drama was narrated through a woman's gaze. Starring Nazriya Nazim, the movie was one of the biggest commercial hits of that year.

Jude is now basking in the success of 2018 . Starring an ensemble cast, the movie was inspired by the 2018 floods that brought the state of Kerala to its knees. The film tells the tale of the people of Kerala who managed to find hope, love and courage in the darkest of times and survived the worst disaster in the history of the state. The movie opened to glowing reviews from the critics and it soon found a lot of love from the audience too. 

"The only flaw in this movie is the absence of a robust marketing strategy. It's almost a disservice that the filmmakers didn't prioritize giving it a wider release and promoting it extensively across the country. 2018 possesses all the potential to be a pan-India success, and it's a shame if it fails to reach audiences beyond Kerala," wrote OTTplay's film critic Manoj Kumar R. 

The film stars Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Kalaiyarasan, Narain, Lal, Indrans and Aju Varghese.
