Niveditha Shivarajkumar's maiden feature film with Vamshi Krishna is called Firefly

A month and a half ago on May 1, Niveditha Shivarajkumar, the younger daughter of Century Star Shivarajkumar had announced that her production houses, Shri Mutthu Cine Services was broadening its horizons by dabbling with cinema production. Niveditha, who has produced Kannada web series like By Mistake and Honeymoon, among others, had said that she would be collaborating with actor Vamshi Krishna Srinivas, who would direct and act in her first film.

Today, on June 15, the film officially went on floors with a muhurtha at a temple in Bengaluru, which was attended by Niveditha’s parents, Shivarajkumar and Geetha, who conveyed their best wishes for their daughter's debut feature production.

Vamshi, who has earlier worked as an assistant director on the movie Mayabazaar 2016, produced by PRK Productions, has also acted in an important role in the recently released movie Pentagon. Now, he is embarking on a new journey as an independent director and a full-fledged hero under Niveditha's production. Vamshi wil be assisted by Jai Ram as co-director, while Abhilash Kallathi films in as cinematographer. As composer, they’ve got Charan Raj onboard for the film, while Raghu Niduvalli has written the dialogues.

Shivarajkumar has two production houses currently. While Geetha Films takes care of the bigger productions, most of which he acts in, Shri Mutthu Cine Services will be dedicated to supporting aspiring talents, and following in her father's illustrious footsteps, Niveditha is unwavering in her commitment to nurturing fresh faces in the industry. In earlier media interactions, Niveditha had said that the aim for Shri Mutthu Cine Services would be to make Kannada films and web series, with content that she likes and relates to.
