Dhanush-starrer Thiruchitrambalam is set for a theatrical release on August 18. The movie marks the fourth collaboration of the actor with director Mithran Jawahar after Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty and Uthamaputhiran. Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Raashi Khanna play female leads in Thiruchitrambalam.

Sun Pictures, which bankrolled the movie, has now unveiled a promo video featuring Nithya in it. She is seen talking about the character played by Dhanush in the film and requests everyone to watch the movie in theatres.

She says, "Thiruchitrambalam aka Pazham is a good for nothing idiot. But he is a good person at heart and likes me very much. You would like to know more about him, right? Wait for one more day and watch the film in theatres tomorrow." The makers have released all songs from the film recently; the album features the return of the celebrated combo DnA (Dhanush and Anirudh).

Sathish Krishnan has choreographed dance sequences for the film which has cinematography by Om Prakash and editing by GK Prasanna. Jacki and Stunt Silva have handled art direction and action choreography respectively for the project.

Thiruchitrambalam is Dhanush's theatrical release after one-and-a-half years. Mari Selvaraj's Karnan, which was released before the second lockdown in 2021, was his previous outing which hit the screens.

Jagame Thandhiram, Atrangi Re, Maaran and The Gray Man which released later skipped theatres and had direct OTT releases. Hence, fans of the star are eagerly awaiting its release, and have pinned high hopes on the family drama. Prakash Raj and Bharathi Raja play pivotal characters in Thiruchitrambalam which will have shows starting from as early as 5 am in Tamil Nadu tomorrow.
