In July of this year, Nitesh Tiwari, who is best known for directing the box office successes Dangal and Chhichhore, will release the big movie Bawaal. The film is a love drama that revolves around the topic of World War 2, and it stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor as the leading characters.

At an event held in Dubai on Sunday, Nitesh, together with the actors of the film, debuted the trailer. During the event, he engaged in conversation with members of the media and discussed what fans could look forward to seeing in Bawaal.

Nitesh opened up about the film's allusions to Adolf Hitler and World War II by saying that the arc of the characters, when one looks at the events and the incidents, can play an important role in the overall arc of the character and the relationship. He added that it is not just about Hitler; there are many other things that one may not have seen in the trailer, but everything, every occurrence, has been meticulously chosen to have an impact on the overall arc.

He continued by saying that the Second World War is enormous; one is aware that a great deal has transpired. It's highly unlikely that one will be able to bring everything. People have to pick and choose the aspects of the plot that are most likely to have an effect on the characters' journey.

A fascinating anecdote about Varun's biggest "bawaal" in life was revealed at the event. The actor's dog, Joey, is apparently the greatest "bawaal" in his life. He said that he can't imagine life without his dog, Joey. His pet brought a lot of disorder into his life. At 6 a.m., he gets out of bed. So, no matter what time Varun goes to bed, he will have to get up.

He joked that he became used to the constant upkeep because of Joey. Varun had no idea he would end up in the movie business and still do all this. His dog has forced him into the most humbling situation of his life.

Furthermore, Varun shared that it has always been a goal of his to collaborate with Nitesh. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the actor recalled repeatedly asking the filmmaker to collaborate on a film. After seven or eight months, Nitesh came with Bawaal, and it's one of Varun's favourite characters, and he thinks it's really good. This is the closest to reality.

The film Bawaal will not be released in theatres but rather on Prime Video on July 21.
