Based on the novel by Australian novelist, Liane Moriarty, comes Nine Perfect Strangers. It will star Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman, Academy Award nominee Melissa McCarthy and Michael Shannon along with Luke Evans, Manny Jacinto, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving among others. David E. Kelly will be taking the lead as showrunner. It will be McCathy and Kidman’s first project together.

It marks the second collaborative project for David E. Kelly and Nicole Kidman. They had previously worked on the critically acclaimed HBO crime drama show, Big Little Lies, based on the novel of the same name by Moriarty. It had bagged numerous awards including the Emmy and SAG.

The series is slated for a worldwide release on Amazon Prime Video, except for the US and China, on 20th August 2021.

Nine Perfect Strangers promises to be a “transformative” psychological thriller ride. Masha, played by Kidman, heads a wellness resort called Tranquillum House, which claims to help stressed out individuals and completely transform them. Nine strangers come from the bustling city to live the slow life, relieve themselves of their stress and transform themselves into their better selves within the next ten days. Unbeknownst to the titular strangers, something far sinister seems to be going on. Nine Perfect Strangers is supposed to be an eight-part series.

Take a look at the trailer below which will give you literal chills:
