Actor Nikhil Siddhartha, who took a while to overcome the untimely passing away of his father Shyam Siddhartha recently, is back to work, and occupied with his upcoming releases. Two of his films, 18 Pages and Karthikeya 2, are slated to hit theatres in the coming months and interestingly, Anupama Parameswaran plays the female lead in both of them. While 18 Pages is directed by Surya Pratap Palnati, Karthikeya 2 is helmed by Chandoo Mondeti.
Mentioning that he's returned to action after the personal setback, Nikhil, earlier in the day, had tweeted, "Back to Work… #Karthikeya2 Dubbing Complete… This #JULY22 Locked To meet you in Theatres." He also shared an image of him dubbing in the studio. Karthikeya 2 is the sequel to the supernatural thriller Karthikeya, that released in 2014 (also directed by Chandoo Mondeti), which also starred Tanikella Bharani, Swathi Reddy, Jaya Prakash and others. Cinematography Karthik Ghattamneni is also reuniting for the sequel.
Hindi film actor Anupam Kher is the latest high-profile addition to the cast of Karthikeya 2. Kaala Bhairava is composing the music for the thriller being edited by Goutham Nerusu. Sahi Suresh takes care of the production design. TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal (the maker of The Kashmir Files) are jointly producing the film under Abhishek Agarwal Arts and People Media Factory. The ZEE group has already acquired the film completely, including its music (Zee Music), streaming (ZEE5) and television rights (ZEE Telugu, Zee Cinemalu).
Apart from the above mentioned films, Nikhil also has a film with Sudheer Varma in addition to another project that marks the directorial debut of editor Garry BH. The Nikhil-Sudheer Varma film is rumoured to have taken the OTT route. The actor's last theatrical release was Arjun Suravaram, which performed resonably well at the box office.
