They have starred in four films together, with the superhit Thanneermathan Dinangal being their first. Their latest film, Neymar, features the duo alongside a dog and was released in theatres on May 12. Directed by Sudhi Maddison. What is Neymar about?
The tale centres on two friends - Kunjava (Mathew), and Sinto (Naslen) - who share a passion for football. Kunjava takes Sinto's advice and gets a pet to win over his crush. He chooses a dog named Neymar, who turns out to be quite mischievous and causes trouble in the neighbourhood. Despite Kunjava's love for Neymar, his father sells the dog to a truck driver. The story follows Kunjava and Sinto's journey to retrieve Neymar.
One can see Naslen and Mathew's signature elements in the film that made them popular; their comical acts are abundant throughout the film. Additionally, the movie touches on various topics such as friendship, family, and romance while also catering to pet lovers.

Sudhi, who directed Operation Java with Tharun Moorthy, has helmed Neymar. Along with Mathew and Naslen, the film also stars Johny Antony, Vijayaraghavan, and Shammi Thilakan in lead roles.
Written by Sudhi, Paulson Skariah, and Adarsh Sukumaran, Neymar is bankrolled by Padma Uday under the banner of V Cinemas International.
The music is done by Shaan Rahman, with the background score handled by Gopi Sundar. Alby, who cranked the camera for Abrahaminte Santhathikal, has gone behind the lens for Neymar. Noufal Abdullah has handled the editing department of the movie.
