On Sunday, the pre-teaser for Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming action movie Animal was released. The movie, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, also has Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles. On August 11, it will be released in theatres.

In the pre-teaser video, Ranbir enters the scene holding an axe as three masked men wait for him to arrive. We get a brief glimpse of his face, and he is wearing a white kurta and dhoti. According to appearances, Ranbir is portraying a ruthless, powerful gangster. We hear a Punjabi song playing in the background as Ranbir confronts the men by himself.

While fans are excited for the movie, many claim that Sandeep Reddy Vanga plagiarised a scene from the South Korean movie Oldboy. The Park Chan-wook movie, which debuted in 2003, still has a sizable fan base. Many people used Twitter to draw comparisons between a scene in Oldboy and the pre-teaser clip for Animal when it was released.
