He is a name synonymous with the eyewear brand, Lenskart. Peyush Bansal, who co-founded Lenskart, is back for Shark Tank India season 2. He is now the CEO of the organization, with 8.21% stake in it.

Before Lenskart, Peyush came to India from Washington and started SearchMyCampus and Valyoo Technologies back in 2007. It was only in 2010 that Lenskart came into being. Ever since, Peyush did not have to look back. Currently, he has also invested a few start-ups both from Shark Tank India season 1 and outside it.

Peyush was ranked among Best 40 Under 40 back in 2019. His company’s current valuation is of Rs. 600 crores.

The Lenskart CEO has funded as many as 30 start-ups. These include KG Agrotech, an idea which connected with many.

Among the organizations Peyush funded, are, inFeedo, Shiprocket, DailyObjects.com, Thinkerbell Labs, Smiles.ai, Ariro, Vivalyf, EventBeep, Nuutjob, Meatyour, Carragreen, Loka, The Yarn Bazaar, AAS Vidyalaya, PNT Solutions, Find Your Kicks India, InACan, Brainwired, The State Plate, RoadBounce, SID07 Designs, Hair Originals, Insurance Samadhan, Sunfox Technologies, Humpy A2 Milk and Organic Farms, Watt Technovations, Isak Fragrances, Tweek Labs, Proxgy and of course, KG Agrotech.

Out of them, he solely funded in Thinkerbell Labs, Vivalyf, Ariro, EventBeep, Meatyour, Nuutjob, Loka, Carragreen, The Yarn Bazaar, PNT Solutions, AAS Vidyalaya, InACan, Find Your Kicks India, RoadBounce, Brainwired, The State Plate, Sunfox Technologies, SID07 Designs, Hair Originals, KG Agrotech, Insurance Samadhan, Humpy A2 Milk and Organic Farms, Isak Fragrances, Watt Technovations, Proxgy and Tweek Labs. Peyush invested Rs. 8.297 crores through Shark Tank India season 1.

The Shark is back for season 2. While he was the most loved on season 1, since season 2 also has CarDekho’s Amit Jain replacing Ashneer Grover, it would be interesting to see if Peyush can still remain the investor from season 1.
