Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph are back with an intense courtroom drama after their successful outing with Drishyam and its sequel. The movie, which is slated to be released in theatres on December 21, also features Priyamani and Anaswara Rajan in leading roles. Although the makers of the film have not revealed any details regarding the plot of the film, the synopsis has allegedly been leaked online and has been circulated on social media. 

Anaswara Rajan’s character's name in Neru revealed

According to the leaked synopsis, Neru is a gripping legal drama that unfolds with the tale of Sara, a visually-impaired sculpture artist who seeks justice after a traumatic incident. Based on the Indian legal system, the story takes viewers on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, deceit, and redemption. Going by the synopsis, it is speculated that Sara is played by Anaswara Rajan and the movie centres around her character. Going by the poster and earlier reports, Mohanlal and Priyamani play advocates. Mohanlal will be seen as an advocate after 13 years.

Neru also stars Siddique, Jagadish, Ganesh Kumar, and others in key roles. Satheesh Kurup is the director of photography, while Vishnu Shyam has composed the songs and the original score. VS Vinayak has handled the editing, and Antony Perumbavoor is the producer.

Neru’s digital rights bagged by Disney+ Hotstar?

According to the most recent reports, Disney+ Hotstar has acquired the digital rights to Neru. Asianet has reportedly paid a significant sum for the satellite rights to Mohanlal's film. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s eagerly-anticipated period fantasy action drama, Malaikottai Vaaliban’s, official teaser will be released on social media later today, December 6. The new update on the teaser release date of Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ambitious project is already taking the internet by storm. Earlier, it was rumoured that the Malaikottai Vaaliban teaser might only be released by the end of December or the beginning of January 2024.
