Should we say more? This actor-director duo delivered one of the finest thriller films – Drishyam and its sequel, and is all set to serve the audience with yet another intriguing legal drama. Going by the trailer, Neru is set to be an intense courtroom drama, focusing on a rare and publicised case involving a visually impaired girl. The film's plot revolves around legal intricacies, promising an engaging experience for those who enjoy thought-provoking stories. With Jeethu Joseph-Mohanlal headlining this project, it is indeed going to be another powerful film for all the cinephiles!
2. Mohanlal’s solid role as Vijayamohan
Mohanlal takes on the role of Vijayamohan, a senior advocate who is forced to make a comeback to handle a significant case. One of the clips from the trailer has gone viral, with fans praising the actor for showcasing his finest performance as an under-confident advocate, losing hope on his case. Seeing Mohanlal in a solid role after a long gap adds an extra layer of excitement and anticipation for fans of the Malayalam superstar.
3. Emotional drama and not a thriller
The director had earlier mentioned in his interviews that Neru is an emotional drama unlike his previous thrillers such as Drishyam. Mohanlal shines in the emotional scenes as shown in the trailer, displaying the kind of depth that has been the hallmark of his performances. This element adds a layer of complexity to the character and suggests a strong emotional connection for the audience.
4. Well-tailored suspense narrative awaits
The trailer smartly avoids revealing too much about the plot and key characters, maintaining an air of mystery and suspense. Although a leaked synopsis from earlier reports suggest that the film revolves around Mohanlal’s journey of seeking justice for Anaswara Rajan’s character, one must go and experience the real cinematic experience of what the actor-director duo have created for the audiences!
5. Gripping dialogue delivery
The trailer showcases Mohanlal's impressive dialogue delivery. Even other characters such as Siddique and Anaswara Rajan are seen delivering gripping and nuanced performances. Also, the involvement of real-life advocate and actress Santhi Mayadevi in co-writing the movie adds to the film’s authenticity.
