You can’t keep Kiran Abbavaram away from action, more so if it’s 2022. The actor, who has a long list of projects shaping up for release, was seen in three films already this year - namely Sebastian PC524, Sammathame and Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinvaadini. Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini had him reuniting with director Sridhar Gadhe after the surprise hit SR Kalyana Mandapam.
After its theatrical run, Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini is gearing up for its OTT premiere. Telugu OTT platform aha and Amazon Prime Video have acquired the streaming rights of the mass entertainer. The film will premiere on aha on October 13 and Prime Video on October 14. Kodi Divya Deepthi, the daughter of late filmmaker Kodi Ramakrishna, had bankrolled the film under Kodi Divyaa Entertainments.
Sanjana Anand and Sonu Thakur play the female leads in the film. Apart from acting in it, Kiran Abbavaram has also written the screenplay and dialogues for the entertainer. The makers claim this is a film with all the ingredients in the right mix - ‘family emotions, action, and brilliant twists.’ Eminent composer Mani Sharma had scored tunes for the film.
Raj Nalli was the cinematographer while Upendra Reddy handled art direction. Baba Bhaskar choreographed the songs and Prawin Pudi was the editor. Naresh Reddy Mule and Bharat Rongali were the co-producer and the executive producer respectively. Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini hit screens on September 16 alongside Saakini Daakini, Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali.
Interestingly, all Kiran Abbavaram films (others - Sebastian PC524, Sammathame) that released this year have aha as their OTT partner. While Sammathame garnered reasonable reviews, Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini and Sebastian PC524 were panned by critics and audiences. It remains to be seen if there’s a change of fortunes for Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini on OTT.
