Neeraj Pandey-Kay Kay Menon’s Special Ops 2 takes off, literally – watch video

Special Ops 2 has gone on floors. Director Neeraj Pandey shared the news through a literal take-off video. He posted a BTS from the sets and gave us an insight into what this season would look like. The video was shot against a beautiful backdrop, hinting that the first day began before sunrise today morning.

Neeraj Pandey shared the video of a helicopter taking off. His camera crew was busy capturing the shot against the backdrop of sunrise. An ambulance was also spotted on the sets. Whether Kay Kay Menon is a part of the shot or not, is still unclear.

What is Special Ops?

Special Ops is a thriller web series which released in 2020. It is about Himmat Singh (Kay Kay Menon), who forms a team of five agents in RAW. This is to track down one terrorist, who is the mastermind of attacks in India. The five agents live in different parts of the world, including Turkey, Jordan, UAE and Azerbaijan. The show ended on a cliffhanger, with an important member being alive under mysterious circumstances. This changes the whole narrative. Season 2 is likely to explore that further.

The spin-off

Before season 2, Kay Kay Menon’s Himmat Singh got a spin-off of the show. The limited series was titled Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story and was the story about how Himmat became who he is on the show. The series featured Aftab Shivdasani as the second lead, Vijay Kumar. The series, which premiered in 2021, showed how Himmat picked up on hints and thus, could help save lives, the way he does in Special Ops.
