Ship of Theseus

In the National Award-winning film Ship Of Theseus, Kabi played the role of Maitreya. He was a Jain monk who protested against animal testing in India. However, when diagnosed with liver cirrhosis, he might have to depend on an animal-tested medicine.

Anand Gandhi's Ship of Theseus is a film which talks about identity, justice, meaning and death, all through the perspective of an experimental photographer Aliya Kamal (Aida El-Kashef).

Talvar

In Talvar, the actor played the role of Ramesh Tandon. He was the father of deceased Shruti Tandon (Ayesha Parveen). Ramesh was convicted of murdering his own daughter and served imprisonment.

The story of Talvar revolves around the real-life case of Aarushi Talwar.

Viceroy's House

Kabi played the role of freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi in Viceroy's House.

The Gurinder Chadha directorial was the story of Lord Mountbatten dissolving the British rule and creating an Independent India.

In Once Again, Kabi plays the role of an isolated film actor Amar Kumar who accidentally starts communicating with a widowed restaurant owner Tara Shetty (Shefali Shah) on call everyday.

In The Hungry, the actor played the role of Tathagat Ahuja (Naseeruddin Shah)'s right hand man Arun Kumar.

The Final Call

Kabi plays the role of astrologer V. Krishnamurthy in Arjun Rampal's The Final Call.

Inspired from the 2015 novel I Will Go With You, The Final Call is the story of passengers of a Mumbai-Sydney flight after their captain committed suicide mid-flight.

Taj Mahal 1989

Kabi played one of the lead roles in Taj Mahal 1989. He gave the audiences a memorable performance as the philosophy professor at Lucknow University, Akhtar Baig.

Taj Mahal 1989 is based on the love story between Dharam Awasthi (Paras Priyadarshan) and Rashmi Malik (Anshul Chauhan).
