Neena Gupta and Rakul Preet Singh join forces for a comedy-thriller, details inside

The two actresses who consistently amaze us with outstanding performances are Neena Gupta and Rakul Preet Singh. They both have their own distinctive styles and consistently dazzle the audience with their on-screen personas. According to recent reports, these two actresses will collaborate on a social comedy, and that sounds pretty intriguing. 

Ashish R. Shukla, who is known for directing the highly acclaimed crime-thriller series Undekhi, signed on to oversee a comedy-thriller starring Neena Gupta and Rakul Preet Singh. The film is yet to get its title but is termed as "uniquely crafted comedy" if we go by the reports of Pinkvilla. The report also suggest that both actresses will play the lead roles in the movie, which will start filming in Mumbai by the end of October. 

By December, Rakul and Neena's film is anticipated to be finished. 

Rakul Preet Singh's work front

Rakul was last seen in Jio Cinema's I Love You and Chhatriwali. She is anticipated to appear in an action movie with a strong female lead. However, there has been no official confirmation of the same as of yet. The actress also has S. Shankar and Kamal Haasan's eagerly anticipated Indian 2, Sivakarthikeyan's sci-fi drama Ayalaan, Mudassar Aziz's Mere Husband Ki Biwi with Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in her kitty. In addition, the actress also has De De Pyaar De 2 movie with Ajay Devgn, which is scheduled to start filming in the first quarter of 2024.

Neena Gupta was recently seen in Vishal Bhardwaj directted SonyLIV series, Charlie Chopra & The Mystery of Solang Valley. Her upcoming schedule includes Anurag Basu's Metro...In Dino and Kaagaz 2. Additionally, she will also be seen in Farrey, which features Salman Khan's niece Alizeh Agnihotri.
