In an earlier interview with us, Joju had said that their friendship and professional equation remain separate. The actor had said that though Martin had a played a huge role in how his career has shaped up, there were movies that he didn’t offer him roles as the director didn’t think he was apt for them.

This year, Joju was seen in Jeo Baby’s Freedom Fight anthology, Sanfeer K’s Peace, Kamal KM’s Pada, Lal Jose’s Solomante Theneechakal, Zak Harriss’ Adrishyam and Shanil Muhammed’s Aviyal. He has also completed shooting for Thuramukham, which is expected to hit theatres next year, as well as Pulimada, which has Aishwarya Rajesh and Lijomol Jose as part of its cast. The actor plays a high-range farmer in the movie, which is scripted and directed by AK Sajan.

Joju is also part of Dileep’s Voice of Sathyanathan, which is set to release next year. The Raffi directorial also has Anupam Kher, Veena Nandakumar and Johny Antony as part of its cast.
