Nodidavaru Enantare, an upcoming Kannada film written and directed by Kuldeep Cariappa and produced by Nagesh Gopal, has set its date with audiences. The film, led by Naveen Shankar, is scheduled for release on January 31, 2025, and promises audiences a blend of visual splendour and an emotionally gripping narrative.

Naveen is joined by Apoorva Bharadwaj in a significant role, making this duo a fresh on-screen pairing. Known for his rugged and intense acting in films like Hoysala, Kshetrapathi, and Salaar, Naveen Shankar undergoes a remarkable transformation for Nodidavaru Enantare. Kuldeep describes the actor’s character as someone who is inside all of us, embodying the universal struggle with existential crises.

The film, adds the filmmaker, is best described as a story of journeys—both physical and emotional – and delves into the existential crisis of its protagonist, exploring the intricate layers of human emotions and resilience. The inspiration for the story comes from the existential dilemmas that loom upon all of us at certain points in life when we are active participants in the society.

In an earlier media interation, Naveen had said that Nodidavaru Enantare is a story told from a woman’s perspective. And that his character, Siddharth, is a vagabond on a constant journey of self-discovery.

Shot extensively across scenic landscapes of Karnataka and parts of Maharashtra, the film captures the diversity and beauty of its settings with authenticity and flair. Ashwin Kennedy fills in as cinematographer, debutant Mayuresh Adhikari as composer and Manu Shedgar as editor. Kuldeep was joined by Sai Shrinidhi, Prajwal Raj and Sunil Venkatesh in writing the dialogues.

In a social media post about the film’s release, Mayuresh wrote about the six years he has spent with the team in taking it from concept to the big screen and working on his first-ever Kannada album. The icing on the cake, he said, was that he got to collaborated with noted writer and lyricist Jayanth Kaikini.
