National Award winning stunt master duo Anbariv makes directorial debut with Lawrence's Durga

Actor-filmmaker-choreographer Raghava Lawrence had announced yesterday that he will come up with an update on his upcoming movie Durga, in which he plays the lead, soon. He had also posted a poster of the film which has him seen as a Hindu saint, sporting a long beard and moustache, an appearance he has never attempted before.

Now, he has revealed that the project will have popular stunt master duo Anbariv wielding the megaphone. He also posted a selfie with the action choreographers, who won the National Award for Best Stunt Choreography for their works in the sensational hit film KGF: Chapter 1 (streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Voot and YouTube).

The details regarding the cast and crew of Durga is expected to be announced soon. A source says that the movie, like Kanchana franchise, is going to have elements so as to cater to all sections of audience, especially family and children. Lawrence currently has Rudhran and Adhigaaram ins his kitty. 

The former marks the directorial debut of producer Kathiresan and stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead. On the other hand, the latter has screenplay written by Vetri Maaran and direction by Durai Senthil Kumar of Kodi (streaming on MX Player and Jio Cinema) fame.

Rudhran, which was in the news last time for the remake of popular song Padatha Pattellam Pada Vanthal in it, will hit the screens in April. The release date of Adhigaaram, which is also being produced by Kathiresan, is yet to be announced.

Lawrence, who last directed the Bollywood flick Laxmii (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar), was previously seen in lead role in the successful Kanchana 3 (streaming on Zee5, Sun NXT and Jio Cinema).
