Narain discussed his recent project with Vikram's director, Lokesh Kanagaraj, in an Asianet News interview. He said that a short film that will be connected to the Lokesh Cinematic Universe has been produced in association with the director. It is anticipated that the official announcement will be out soon.

The actor portrayed Inspector Bejoy in the box office successes Vikram and Kaithi by the filmmaker. It is anticipated that the character will play a significant role in the LCU's future endeavours. "Rajnikanth and Lokesh are currently filming their movie together. After a year, work on Kaithi 2 might start, he said.

He made these revelations during the interview as part of promoting his latest Malayalam film, Queen Elizabeth, also starring Meera Jasmine. The film will be released in theatres on December 29.

Comparing his character Alex in Queen Elizabeth to Adv Emmanuel John in Achuvinte Amma, Narain described the former as more innocent. He went on, "Alex is the only one who thinks Elizabeth is not a strict person."

The actor mentioned that he felt that Queen Elizabeth was the perfect film to make a comeback into Malayalam films as a lead character. "The chasm is not deliberate. I would like to work on more Malayalam films, but I wasn't offered any good roles', he remarked. Narain said that because of his Tamil projects, he had also missed out on a few good opportunities.

He continued by saying that, while film reviews are valuable, using strong language to attack the work would not benefit anyone. When it comes to films, a lot is at stake. Someone makes a living off of it," he observed.

Speaking about his co-actor, Narain stated that Meera has changed for the better, and he is happy to work with her again after 15 years. Queen Elizabeth is directed by M Padmakumar. The actor recently appeared in a supporting role in Jude Anthany Joseph’s 2018 and Jayam Ravi’s Iraivan.
