Nani's Jersey turns 2: Here's where you can watch the National Award-winning film

Telugu actor Nani’s film Jersey completed two years of its theatrical release on April 19 and fans have begun trending #2YearsForClassicJersey on Twitter to celebrate the National Award-winning movie..

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film featured Shraddha Srinath as the female lead and had Nani playing a cricketer. On this special occasion, it is time to go back and watch the movie, which audiences have termed a ‘gem of a film’ and ‘masterpiece’.

Why you should watch Jersey: The film won the National Award in two categories - Best Editing and Best Telugu Film. Nani and Tinnauri also won the Critics Choice Film Award for Best Actor and Best Director, respectively.

Jersey is the story of a cricketer who gave up on his dream, but 10 years down the line, he returns to the game to fulfill his son’s wish.

Nani remembered the film on Twitter with a behind-the-scenes image. He simply shared the photo and wrote ‘2 Years’ with a smiley face.

Currently, Jersey is being remade in Hindi. Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor plays the lead role in the movie, while Mrunal Thakur is the female lead in the movie. The Hindi version of Jersey, which is also directed by Tinnanuri, brings Kapoor and his father Pankaj Kapur back on screen together.
