The big day is here for the fans of actor, producer Nagarjuna Akkineni, who turns 62 today. While the title of Nagarjuna's actioner with director Praveen Sattaru was revealed as The Ghost this morning, there's also an exciting update about the actor's multi-starrer Bangarraju. A 'birthday special' poster from the film featuring Nagarjuna was launched by his Bangarraju co-star and son Naga Chaitanya across his social media handle. The film, which went on floors in Hyderabad recently, is a prequel to Nagarjuna's successful rural entertainer Soggade Chinni Nayana.
Sharing the poster, Chaitanya added, "Happy birthday to my King @iamnagarjuna .. so looking forward to sharing the screen with you again ! To great health and happiness always .. thank you for being you !! Lots of love." The poster refers to the title character, Bangarraju, played by Nagarjuna, as 'The Devil', announcing 'The Devil is Back'. Donning black shades, wearing a shirt and traditional 'pancha kattu', Nagarjuna looks regal and is handsomeness personified in the poster, where he's seen returning from the heavens to the earth. The special poster also serves as a fond reminder of the many funny antics of the playboy character Bangarraju from Soggade Chinni Nayana, where he tries to mend the fractured relationship between his son and daughter-in-law.
Soggade Chinni Nayana, the 2016 Sankranti release, was one of the biggest hits of Nagarjuna in his 35-year-old tryst with filmdom. Besides Nagarjuna, many actors from the film will return for Bangarraju including Ramya Krishna, Chalapathi Rao, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, Vennela Kishore and Jhansi. The new additions for Bangarraju include Nagarjuna's son and actor Naga Chaitanya, who is paired alongside the Uppena sensation Krithi Shetty. The director Kalyan Krishna Kurasala has written the story for the film whose screenplay has been penned by famed writer Satyanand. Anup Rubens is scoring the music for the film jointly produced by Zee Studios and Annapurna Studios (Nagarjuna Akkineni). Yuvaraj is on board as the cinematographer.
