Naga Shaurya is confident that Varudu Kaavalenu will be a sure shot blockbuster

Varudu Kaavalenu, the romantic comedy starring Naga Shaurya, Ritu Varma in lead roles, has been hitting the right notes ever since its commencement. Naga Shaurya has never looked in better shape all through his career, while it's refreshing to see a female lead, especially of Ritu Varma's calibre, get an author-backed role in a mainstream film. Lakshmi Sowjanya makes her directorial debut with the entertainer. The film's promotional events kickstarted the previous last week. As part of the Varudu Kaavalenu Sangeeth event, Naga Shaurya spoke highly about the team that put this film together.

"I can hold my head high and say that we have made a wonderful, memorable film. We are very confident about it and at the same time, please don't presume this as over-confidence. I request audiences to watch Varudu Kaavalenu only in theatres on October 29. We've almost forgotten piracy in the OTT era. Our film may take a little while to land on OTTs, another reason why you must watch it on the big screen at the earliest," Naga Shaurya opened his speech with optimism.

Looking back at its making, Naga Shaurya reminisced, "I first heard the film's script in 2018 and we began shooting for it in late 2019 and wrapped the shoot earlier this year. We worked very hard and saw two waves of the pandemic in between the shoot. Lakshmi Sowjanya (whom he calls akka) has been an assistant director for many years and has used all that experience to mould the script and execute it to perfection. My co-star Ritu Varma is a wonderful actress and is as elegant as ever in Varudu Kaavalenu. I hope to act with her more in the future."

Thanking the producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi (and S Radha Krishna a.k.a China Babu) for the film's theatrical release, he said, "Our producers may have got many direct-to-OTT offers over the two years, owing to the positive response the film has generated in industry circles. Varudu Kaavalenu had everything going for it to attract the attention of OTTs. It takes extreme confidence on the producer's part to wait for the reopening of theatres in these challenging times. They've done everything to make the team feel comfortable and make a quality product."

Naga Shaurya had words of praise for the film's dialogue writer Ganesh Kumar Ravuri, cinematographer Vamsi Patchipulusu and conveyed his gratitude to the composer Vishal Chandrasekhar for delivering a superb album. Varudu Kaavalenu is releasing theatres on October 29.
