Naga Chaitanya is lining up interesting films one after another. Next in line is Thandel, which will hit the screens on February 7, 2025. Sai Pallavi plays the female lead in this film, which has been directed by Chandoo Mondeti. On the other hand, we at OTTplay have already reported that Chay has also signed a film, directed by Karthik Varma Dandu. The film is locked and will go on floors after the release of Thandel.

Now, we have an exciting update on the film. One of the sources close to the team has revealed to us that none other than Sparsh Shrivastava, the upcoming Hindi actor, has been roped in to play the main villain in the film.
Sparsh made headlines for his film Laapataa Ladies, which was a big hit and even entered the Oscars race recently. Although it did not make it to the final cut of awards, the Kiran Rao directorial showcased Sparsh in a solid manner, bringing out a fine performance from him.
Karthik Varma Dandu, known for casting unusual faces in his films, has roped in Sparsh for the key negative role. Karthik was the one who made Samyuktha Menon the main villain in his hit film Virupakasha, and now he has taken things to another level by casting Sparsh. The film is a mystic thriller and will be made on a massive scale.

The latest update is that Sparsh will head to Hyderabad soon for a look test. Meanwhile, Meenakshi Chaudhary, who is flying high with back-to-back hits Lucky Baskhar and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, is in talks to play the female lead. The word is also that Vrushakarma is the working title of the film, and it will likely be locked by the makers.
