The second schedule for Nadikar Thilakam, starring Tovino Thomas and directed by Lal Jr, has commenced. The new schedule kicked off in Hyderabad following the completion of the first in Kochi, during which Tovino injured his leg after an aquarium broke on the sets. The crew will shoot for 12 days in Hyderabad before moving back to Kochi. Shooting is also slated to take place in Kashmir and Dubai.
About Nadikar Thilakam
Nadikar Thilakam is Lal Jr's sixth film and his first with Tovino. The actor plays David Padikkal, a superstar who has been dominating the film industry for eight years. The film depicts the unforeseen events that take place in David's career and his attempts to overcome them. Soubin Shahir, who is also part of the star cast, will be sharing screen space with Tovino for the first time in this film.

Tovino and Soubin play the lead roles in Nadikar Thilakam, with Anoop Menon, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, Shine Tom Chacko, Sreenath Bhasi, Lal, and Balu Varghese playing supporting roles. Suvin S Somashekharan is the scriptwriter, Ratheesh Raj is the editor and Alby Antony is the cinematographer. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, known for their successful films like Pushpa: The Rise and Janatha Garage. Nadikar Thilakam, which is being made on a budget of approximately ₹40 crore, marks the production house's entry into Malayalam films.
Tovino Thomas' other films
After Nadikar Thilakam, Tovino will join the sets of the big-budget action entertainer, Identity. The shoot for the film, which is directed by Forensic makers Anas Khan and Akhil Paul, has already begun. Identity also stars Trisha Krishnan, Mandira Bedi, and Vinay Rai in pivotal roles.
Tovino's upcoming release is the period film Ajayante Randam Moshanam, in which he plays three roles. The film is slated to hit theatres in early 2024.
