The trailer of actor Dhyan Sreenivasan’s upcoming romantic comedy film Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna is out, and it’s making quite the buzz on the internet. Helmed by debutant directors Vijesh Panathur and Unni Vellora, the movie follows the journey of a bachelor Kannan (Dhyan), who is trying to marry the girl of his dreams. The film is produced by businessman Murali Kunnumpurath, whose life inspired Vellam, starring Jayasurya.
In pursuit of a wife of his dreams
The trailer begins with Kannan describing the qualities he desires to see in his future wife, using Nayanthara as an example. However, his friends mock him for his preferences. Kannan struggles to find a suitable partner despite all his efforts. Later, his friends help him in the search. Aju Varghese’s character, who is also searching for a partner, seems to be at odds with Kannan. The trailer suggests that the film will be a comedy drama, similar to Kunjiramayanam and Adi Kapyare Kootamani, in which Aju and Dhyan have previously worked together. The title of the film is inspired by an old Malayalam song from a film starring Prem Nazir and KR Vijaya.
Cast and crew
The movie also features Navas Vallikkunnu, Sudheesh, Sohan Seenulal, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Nirmal Palazhi in key roles. Meanwhile, Pragya Nagra - who is known for the Tamil film Varalaru Mukkiyam, plays the female lead in Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna.
The film is edited by Rathin Radhakrishnan, who is known for his work in Saiju Kurup’s Pappachan Olivilaanu, while Faisal Ali has done the cinematography and Arun Muraleedhran is in charge of the music department.
Release date
The film will be released in the theatres on September 15, along with Asif Ali’s crime drama film Kasargold.

Dhyan has Bullet Diaries, Cheena Trophy and Varshangalkku Shesham in his kitty. He will essay an important character in his brother Vineeth Sreenivasan’s upcoming film, Varshangalkku Shesham, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Pranav Mohanlal. Nivin Pauly is making a cameo appearance in the movie.
