Naa Saami Ranga OTT release date: Nagarjuna’s rural action drama to stream on Disney+ Hotstar soon

Naa Saami Ranga, the recently released Sankranthi film starring actor Akkineni Nagarjuna in the lead role, is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar on February 17. The streaming platform announced this on social media on Saturday.

The film was released in theatres on January 14. Naa Saami Ranga marks the directorial debut of choreographer Vijay Binni. Apart from the actor, the film also features Ashika Ranganath, Allari Naresh, Raj Tarun, Rukshar Dhillon, and Mirnaa in prominent roles.

What do we know about Naa Saami Ranga?

Naa Saami Ranga is a period action drama. It is an adaptation of the 2019 Malayalam film Porinju Mariam Jose. Set in a village called Ambajipeta, Naa Saami Ranga is about Kistayya (Nagarjuna), who is a devoted supporter of the village's president. While he is in love with a girl, an issue creates a separation. The rest of the film revolves around whether he is able to tackle the evil forces that are set out to create havoc in his life.

“Naa Sammi Ranga does not have anything extraordinary but it has enough moments for the family audience to give the film a shot this festive season. The presence of multiple stars is a bonus,” reads OTTplay review of the film.

What did Nagarjuna say about the film?

At the success meet of the film held recently, Nagarjuna said, “I miss my team every day and remember those moments when we all were so busy wrapping up the film for a Sankranthi 2024 release. Not many know but whomever I told in September, that I am working on Naa Saami Ranga which will be released in as a Sankranthi 2024 special in January, everyone laughed at me. Even my own family did not take me seriously. But we made the film in three months, released it, and now we are at the success meet.”

The film is produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi of Srinivasaa Silver Screen. With music by Oscar-winning MM Keeravaani, it was shot by cinematographer Shivendra Dasaradhi and edited by Chota K Prasad.
