Nagarjuna Akkineni, who celebrates his birthday today, took considerable time to sign his immediate project after The Ghost (Dussehra release) last year. There’s more excitement surrounding the film, given it’s the 99th venture in his illustrious career spanning nearly four decades. An official announcement regarding the much-awaited film was made today.

The Manmadhudu actor’s next film is titled Naa Saami Ranga, reportedly an adaptation of Joju George’s 2019 Malayalam release Porijnu Mariam Jose. The film marks the directorial debut of popular dance choreographer Vijay Binni. Prasanna Kumar Bezawada has written the story, dialogues for the film produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen.

Intro glimpse

A special introduction glimpse of Naa Saami Ranga was unveiled by the makers as well. In the video, a group of thugs lead by Karuna Kumar (actor, director) is itching to kill the protagonist. Little do they realise that the latter is sitting right among them and his presence sends a chill down their spine; he later attacks them and proves his machismo in an out-and-out mass avatar.

After considerable gap, Nagarjuna will be seen in a full-on action role in a rustic setup in Naa Saami Ranga. Another reason that doubled the joy of the star’s fans today is the update surrounding its release date - it’ll be arriving as early as Sankranthi 2024, joining the likes of Guntur Kaaram, Eagle, VD13. MM Keeravaani will be composing the music for the film.
