The makers unveiled its trailer a few days ago. The movie is billed as an action-packed drama that has an ample dose of comedy, fantasy, and politics. Aditi Shankar, Saritha, Yogi Babu and Mysskin among others play pivotal roles in the movie which has music by Bharath Sankar.
There was speculation recently that a big star has contributed to the voiceover for the movie. Mysskin, who essays the antagonist's role in the film, has now revealed that both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were approached for the same. However, the legends couldn't oblige to the request.
The team hasn't revealed the actor who has finally lent voice to Maaveeran. They have kept it as a surprise, and this is one of the suspense factors associated with the film's release. The names of Dhanush, Vijay Sethupathi and many others are doing the rounds, but it looks like makers are tight-lipped about it.
Maaveeran is Siva's release after almost two years; his last outing Prince was a debacle and fans have pinned high hopes on this project. The actor plays a sketch artist in the film. How he faces a series of unexpected incidents in his life which are based on the sketches he makes forms the crux of the story.
Arun Viswa has produced the movie which has cinematography by Vidhu Ayyanna and editing by Philomin Raj. Yannick Ben and Shobi Paulraj have handled action choreography and dance choreography respectively.
