The web series is fast catching up in India. And Tamil actors and storytellers are pushing the boundaries by exploring various genres in this space. MY3 is a similar attempt to expand the offerings to the growing audiences of streaming.
A popular Korean show adaptation
MY3 is the official Tamil adaptation of the hit Korean television series I'm Not a Robot. Starring Yoo Seung-ho, Chae Soo-bin, and Um Ki-Joon, the Korean was directed by Jung Dae-Yoon, from a script written by Kim Sun-mi.

Korean television space is overpopulated with romantic shows targeting young audiences. A rich lonely boy, finding love in unlikely places is one of the overused drama tropes of Korean television. Similarly, I'm Not a Robot, follows the personal struggle of a man from an affluent background and his unexpected encounter with the cupid. The show was first premiered in 2017 and ended after 16 episodes.

The adaptation of the Korean television series in Tamil shows the growing demand for original content in the streaming space. Disney+Hotstar has been making a significant investment in expanding its original catalogue for its subscribers in India.
Unlike past, the leading stars of the film industry are no longer reluctant to try to lend their talents to the digital space. Case in point, Hansika Motwani. She is making her debut in the OTT space with this series and she seems to be very thrilled about branching her career into a new direction.
Besides Hansika, MY3 also stars actor Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Mugen Rao of Bigg Boss Tamil fame in the lead roles.

MY3 is now streaming
All episodes of MY3 were dropped on Disney+Hostar on Friday. The series revolves around a successful businessman, who's living in solitude owing to a medical condition. He succumbs to violent allergic reactions if he comes in contact with other humans and that forces him to seek the companionship of a humanoid robot. However, things get complicated when the robot suffers a malfunction before its shipment. Filmmaker M. Rajesh has adpated and directed this Tamil web series.
