MX Player drops teaser for Vikram Bhatt’s directorial debut on OTT

Established director Vikram Bhatt has worked on innumerable thrillers in his extensive career. The latest addition to this list is Bisaat- Khel Shatranj Ka. What makes his newest venture different, is the fact that this is the first digitally streaming series with Bhatt’s name attached to it. Renamed from Dirty Games to Bisaat, this series will premiere on MX Player.

Now that the teaser of the Vikram Bhatt series, starring Sandeepa Dhar, Omkar Kapoor, Khalid Siddique, Leena Jumani and Jia Mustafa is here, fans of the filmmaker cannot wait to see how his OTT debut plays out.

The teaser opens in complete darkness, moving to a bleeding man on the floor who is revealed to be Yash Kapoor, a pharma giant murdered in cold blood. Bisaat is the story of a psychiatrist who gets entangled in the murder mystery.

The eight-episode web series traces the life of Dr. Kiyana Verma (Sandeepa Dhar) who is a dedicated psychiatrist. She delves deep into the lives of her patients and is committed to resolving their issues.

Her career takes dark turns when she starts consulting on the case of Radhika Kapoor (Leena Jumani). Radhika is in an abusive relationship with her husband, business tycoon Yash Kapoor (Khalid Siddiqui).

Ignoring the advice of Dr. Abhijit Joshi (Omkar Kapoor) who is her husband, Dr. Kiyana digs into Yash’s life. Soon, Yash is found brutally murdered and Dr. Kiyana is the prime suspect. The series follows the revelations in the murder mystery where Dr. Kiyana must prove her innocence.

Produced by Krishna Bhatt under Loneranger productions, this series is laden with revenge, blackmails and dark secrets.
