Murshid OTT release date: Kay Kay Menon is ready to entertain the audience with his new series in the digital space. After Srijit Mukherji's Shekhar Home, Kay Kay will be seen in a web show titled Murshid. The first official poster of the series was released today (August 16) on social media. It features Menon alongside Tanuj Virwari. Along with the poster, the makers also revealed Murshid's release date and the platform where it will stream.
Murshid OTT release date
Not much is known about Kay Kay Menon's upcoming series Murshid yet. It was earlier reported that the series is a gangster drama set in Mumbai. Apart from Kay Kay and Tanuj, the star cast of Murshid includes Anang Desai, Jameel Chaudhary, and Zakir Hussain. It will drop on ZEE5 on August 30, 2024. You can also watch it on OTTplay Premium. While sharing the first poster, the streamer captioned it: "Yeh Bombay hai meri jaan, aur yahan Sartaj-e-Bambai urf Murshid Bhai ka sikka chalta hai! Murshid premieres 30th August, only on ZEE5 (sic)."
Kay Kay Menon's latest OTT project
A few days ago, Kay Kay Menon's series Shekhar Home dropped on JioCinema. During the show's promotions, OTTplay exclusively interviewed the actor. In conversation with us, Kay Kay revealed the thing that attracted him to doing the series. The actor recalled reading the script and realising that Shekhar Home is a different world altogether.
"It is the world of the 1990s, when there was no technology in terms of telecommunication. That is the world we are talking about. It is set in the sleepy town of Lonpur. I have seen these kinds of towns in my extreme childhood," he said.
