The makers of the highly anticipated web series 'Murshid' unveiled the trailer of the show recently and it has already generated a significant buzz among fans for the show. Directed by Shravan Tiwari, the seven-episode show stars Kay Kay Menon, Tanuj Virwani, Zakir Hussain, Rajesh Shringarpure, and Anang Desai. After the gripping trailer, the makers have now unveiled a thrilling promo from the show featuring the lead cast.

Murshid is set to premiere on ZEE5 on August 30, 2024, promising an intense and riveting tale that comes with a stellar cast. Today, on August 21, the makers shared a new promo that showcases that the show is a cat-and-dog fight between the police and the politicians.
The promo shows that the planning to kill Murshid, played by the brilliant Kay Kay Menon, is underway, however, is it so easy to kill him or will it take an army to catch him? Sharing the promo, the makers wrote: "Murshid aur Farid ki ranjish kis anjaam tak pahunchegi? #Murshid premieres 30th August, only on #ZEE5"

The narrative of the show revolves around the thrilling world of the underworld of Bombay. The show will capture the essence of Mumbai during the 80s and 90s, extending to 2021 when most of the parts of the city were ruled by the underworld.
Talking about the show, the director of the show, Shravan Tiwari talked about the unique aspects of the show and stated, "With Murshid, we explore the darker, more complex facets of human nature. The story delves into crime, loyalty, and betrayal, presented in a raw and real manner."
Speaking about playing a don in the show, Kay Kay Menon expressed his enthusiasm for his role and stated that playing Murshid has been a thrilling experience for him. "I’ve always been fascinated by complex characters, and Murshid is a compelling one—an ex-don turned philanthropist who is forced back into the criminal world to protect his loved ones," he added.
