Murshid: Kay Kay Menon's 'Bombay Ka Sultan' is set to take over the city | Watch

The highly anticipated web show 'Murshid' is set to release on ZEE5 soon. After unveiling multiple posters and the gripping trailer, the makers have now unveiled another dialogue promo which is again generating significant buzz and excitement among the viewers. The show stars Kay Kay Menon, Tanuj Virwani, and Zaakir Hussain in the lead roles.

The new dialogue promo from the film features Kay Kay Menon who is heard as saying. "Jis mitti se uthaaya tha na, ussi mitti mein gaad dunga". The makers captioned the video: "Bombay ke Sultan se takkar lena ke anjaam hoga bhayankar! #Murshid premieres 30th August, only on #ZEE5"

The trailer of the show was released a few days back which shows that Kay Kay Menon's Murshid, a powerful mafia don who ruled Bombay for 20 years is now making a comeback into the dangerous business when his son faces difficulties. He will be seen playing a menacing character with Tanuj Virvani, who will be seen playing a police inspector in the drama. The series offers a glimpse into the dark and thrilling world of the underworld in Bombay during the 80s and 90s, extending to Mumbai in 2021.

Sharing the trailer on his Instagram, Tanuj Virwani has written, "Dushmanon ke liye bura waqt bankar, 20 saal baad, Bambai ka raja - Murshid Pathan apni takht par laut raha hai! #Murshid premieres 30th August, only on #ZEE5. Trailer out now!"

Talking about the show, the director has said, "With Murshid, we explore the darker, more complex facets of human nature. The story delves into crime, loyalty, and betrayal, presented in a raw and real manner."

Murshid is a seven-episode gangster thriller which is directed by Shravan Tiwari. The series promises an intense and riveting storyline, with a stellar cast, including Kay Kay Menon, Tanuj Virwani, Zakir Hussain, Rajesh Shringarpure, and Anang Desai, and is set to premiere on Zee5 on August 30, 2024.
