While we were all busy obsessing over the trendy content and the advent of streaming in India, Raj & DK, Amar Kaushik, and Dinesh Vijan ended up creating a universe focused on horror comedies. These were movies about supernatural elements but with a lot of humor and, initially, a message involved. Stree came in and changed the game completely because the Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer turned out to be a big hit, enabling Bhediya to feature Varun Dhawan and later greenlighting Stree 2.

But while we were waiting for the second Stree film, we weren't aware that the makers might end up giving us an altogether new entry to the franchise with a film titled Munjya. Starring Sharvari and Abhay Verma, the movie hits the big screen today, and we thought you might need some revision before you get on board. So, below is where you can watch Stree and Bhediya on streaming before you book that ticket for Munjya.
Set in the fictional town of Chanderi, Stree was about the spirit of a woman who was taking her revenge on men. The horror comedy was an eye-opener and fun to watch together. It stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. Bhediya is about a man who gets the power to turn into a wolf after one bites him. It stars Varun Dhawan alongside Kriti Sanon and Abhishek Banerjee. At the same time, Stree streams on Disney+ Hotstar and Jio Cinema, and Bhediya streams on Jio Cinema. Munjya has found a middle ground with the streaming platform.
As per the streaming partner slate in the movie, Munjya is set to have a digital premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. Yes, you read that right. However, there is no update on whether it will also be available on Jio Cinema, considering both the first two movies are streaming there. This could be because of the deal with Jio Studios. However, it may have an exclusive run on Disney+ Hotstar for a set period of time. There is no update on when we should expect Munjya on streaming, and it all depends on the box office run of the film.
About Munjya
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the movie stars Sharvari, Abhay Verma, and Mona Singh in pivotal roles. It is about the folklore of Munjya, the soul of a boy who dies and returns to fulfill his desire to get married to Munni (watch the film to know who Munni is). Years later, when Bittu (Abhay) returns to his native village, Munjya finds a host who is his blood relative and now blackmails Bittu to find his Munni. A turn of events leads Munjya to Bela (Sharvari), Bittu’s friend and love, and now he needs to get rid of Munjya to save Bela.
