In case you were wondering who exactly Munjya is, the makers have revealed his identity in the recently launched trailer for the film. Munjya is someone who is stuck to Abhay Verma’s Bittu. Thanks to that, Bittu’s lover, played by Sharvari Wagh, is also in danger. Right after Shaitaan's success, here comes a horror comedy that is about black magic. Enter the world of Munjya, the disheartened, unmarried ghost.
Chetukwadi is cursed. Munjya’s ashes are buried under a tree. He is a ghost because he could not get married to Munni. Munjya is now back to find his Munni. The trailer tells us how Abhay Verma became a source for Munjya.
Thanks to his behaviour, nobody believes that Abhay Verma’s Bittu is actually seeing Munjya. The scene between him and Sharvari, especially, is the highlight of the trailer. Abhay nodding his head with a forced smile is simply epic.

The latest, which is Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy, has elements of his previous films. Munjya, like Stree and Bhediya, comes after sunset.
While Stree had Pankaj Tripathi, Munjya has Sathyaraj. Mona Singh is also a part of the movie as the mother. With her begins the series of forced comic dialogues. The last dialogue by Munjya is one of them.
The intrigue begins when Munjya’s past is hinted at. This is compared to the situation that Bittu and his lover, played by Sharvari, face in the current times. The Aditya Sarpotdar directorial also leaves some cliffhangers, like when Bittu attempts to murder who Munjya suspects as Munni.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan, the movie will be out in theatres on June 7. After its theatrical release, the film will be available for streaming on Disney+Hotstar.
