Mukhachitram release date: When and where to watch Vikas Vasishta, Priya Vadlamani, Vishwak Sen's thriller

Sandeep Raj, who'd directed the national-award winning film Colour Photo is back in the news with another film, however for a different role. He has written the story, screenplay and dialogues for Mukhachitram. The film is directed by Gangadhar and features an ensemble cast comprising the likes of Vikas Vasishta, Priya Vadlamani, Ayesha Khan, Chaitanya Rao and Ravishankar in important roles. The thriller, whose trailer was launched today, will release on December 9

Vishwak Sen will also be making a special appearance in the film as a lawyer. Mukhachitram is ultimately a romantic triangle in the garb of a thriller. The story starts off as a tale revolving around two childhood friends - Raj Kumar and Maya. While Raj Kumar grows up to be a plastic surgeon, Maya is an aspirant film writer. Raj ties the knot with Mahathi, a happy go-lucky small-time teacher. However Maya is clearly unhappy with the alliance and whines about it.

Just when Raj is content with his marriage, twin accidents of Maya and Mahathi throw his life in jeopardy. While Mahathi dies in the accident, Maya undergoes a plastic surgery to transform her deformed face. Much to Raj's shock, Maya's face is akin to his late wife Mahathi. In another twist, Maya goes onto file a case against Raj for a reason. What is Maya upto? Vishwak Sen and Ravishankar play the lawyers in the story.

Presented by SKN, the film is produced by Pradeep Yadav, Mohan Yella under Pocket Money Pictures and has music, cinematography by Kaala Bhairava and Sreenivas Bejugam respectively. Pavan Kalyan Kodati is the editor.Vikas Vasishta, a popular Kannada actor, made a mark in Telugu cinema with the Netflix release Cinema Bandi. Chaitanya Rao's claim to fame was his performance in the web show 30 weds 21. Vishwak Sen starred in two films earlier this year - Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam and Ori Devuda (both are streaming on aha).
