Mufasa The Lion King OTT release date: When and where you can stream the animated English feature in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu

Mufasa: The Lion King, the 2024 American animated film which serves as the prequel and sequel to The Lion King, is all set to make its OTT debut. The film, which traces the lives of Mufasa and Scar from their childhood, will premiere on JioHotstar on March 26. It will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Mufasa: The Lion King is one of the recently released animated films, which opened to positive reception. The film released in theatres in December 2024, and following this will make its OTT debut on JioHotstar. Mufasa: The Lion King will begin streaming from March 26 onwards and will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Directed by Barry Jenkins, the film is produced by Walt Disney Pictures. The film delves into the childhood stories of Mufasa and Taka, with the former being separated from his parents as a cub and joining the family of the latter who goes on to become the antagonist of the franchise and rechristened as Scar.

Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Donald Glover, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, John Kani, Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Tiffany Boone, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, Lennie James, Anika Noni Rose, and Blue Ivy Carter form the voice cast of the English version. The film was also dubbed in Indian regional languages with prominent actors voicing for important roles.
