Dr Pragabhal has attempted something that has not been done before in the Indian film industry. His Muddy, which is gearing up for a release, is the first Indian movie revolving around mud race.
Talking to Cinema Express about his movie, the director said, “I browsed on the internet and found that no Indian filmmaker has attempted a film on mud race, and I decided to take the risk.”
Talking about how long it took for the movie to be made, he said that he had to go for two years with the script. He added that the actors took two years to get trained in the intensive sport of mud racing and that it took a year to select the location and another six months to get all clearances from the government side.
Talking about the authenticity of his first of a kind movie, he said that everything in Muddy was realistic and there were no visual effects or stunt doubles used. He assured that the movie is a visual spectacle and one for the theaters.
Muddy is written and directed by Pragabhal, who has a PhD in management studies and did a professional course on filmmaking. The high-octane action movie is produced by Prema Krishnadas.
The movie, which has cinematography by GK Ratheesh and music from Ravi Basrur, who impressed with his work in KGF, is set to release in theaters on December 10.
