Actor Shivam Sharma, who gained popularity as a participant on MTV Splitsvilla Season 13, is back for a new season of the hit dating reality show. The actor, who was seen on Kangana Ranaut's reality series Lock Upp earlier this year, spoke to Hindustan Times recently about what it is like to be back on a reality show. Calling himself “the male version of Rakhi Sawant”, Shivam said that he wants to continue to appear on reality shows, instead of winning just one season.
Opening up about his wild-card entry on Splitsvilla, Shivam said that he is aware that people like him because he is a complete entertainment package, capable of evoking emotions beyond just laughter. Shivam feels that had he won the show in Season 13, he may have never made a comeback. Drawing comparisons with Rakhi Sawant and how the actress keeps returning to Bigg Boss because she has never won the show, Shivam said, “Had she won it, would she be returning for all these seasons?”
Not everyone will admit to not winning a show, but Shivam is clearly different. He said that he is happy that he did not go home with the Splitsvilla Season 13 trophy, because then he would not have got this second chance — to appear on Splitsvilla X4.
Turning 30 years old has made Shivam think about settling down in life. Revealing his wish to get married, Shivam revealed that his ideal partner is someone who is like his mother. An ideal marriage, according to him, should have trust, respect and loyalty. In his trademark with, he added, “Sidharth Malhotra took away Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal got Katrina Kaif. So, I should also get married.”
MTV Splitsvilla 14, or Splitsvilla X4, is streaming on Voot.
