Mr Bachchan - Ravi Teja, Harish Shankar’s remake of Raid goes on floors

After the redemption drama Shock and the action entertainer Mirapakay, director Harish Shankar and Ravi Teja are joining forces for their third collaboration - Mr Bachchan. Bhagyashri Borse makes her Telugu debut with the film produced by TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory while Panorama Studies and T Series are the presenters.

For the unversed, Mr Bachchan is the Telugu remake of Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran’s Hindi hit Raid, which was officially launched amidst the cast, crew in Hyderabad recently. Well, the film has gone on floors today. “It is action time for the #MassReunion. #MrBachchan shoot underway with an exciting schedule,” the production house shared its excitement about the shoot commencement.

Ravi Teja has begun the shoot for Mr Bachchan today, working on the sixth scene in the film, going by the clapboard. He is surrounded by a group of character artists in the shoot. Several scenes involving the lead actors will be filmed in the lengthy schedule. The ‘Mass Maharaja’ may be expected to take a brief break to promote Eagle, that releases for Sankranthi 2024.

Mickey J Meyer, who worked with Harish Shankar on Gaddalakonda Ganesh, Subrahmanyam for Sale, composes the music for the film. Renowned technician Ayananka Bose, who proved his worth in Duvvada Jagannadham and is also part of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, cranks the camera. KGF 2, Salaar fame Ujwal Kulkarni has come on board as the editor.

This is Ravi Teja’s third film with the reputed production house People Media Factory after Eagle and Dhamaka (out on Netflix). The team of Dhamaka united recently during Eagle’s promotion to celebrate the first anniversary of its release. Ravi Teja has also signed a film with Anudeep, to be produced by Sithara Entertainments, tentatively titled Production No 26.
