Ravi Teja, who has been basking in the success of his latest outing Eagle, has no time for a break as the Mass Maharaja has signed a slew of exciting projects for his Telugu fans. The actor’s next film Mr Bachchan, which is currently under production, has a new update. Director Harish Shankar, who is helming the project, took to his social media handles to share an exciting update of the upcoming action drama. The director revealed that the Mass Maharaja’s film has wrapped up its schedule in Tamil Nadu. The director thanked Ravi Teja and DOP Ayananka Bose for their boundless efforts. “Successfully completed another beautiful schedule of Mr.Bachchan…can't thank enough to @DoP_Bose for making it happen and Million thanks to MassMaharaaj for working round the clock”.
Along with the latest update, the director also shared a few snapshots from the film sets. The photos showcase DOP Ayananka Bose along with a photo of a temple from Tamil Nadu.
For the uninitiated, Mr Bachchan is the official Telugu remake of Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid. Mr Bachchan also marks Ravi Teja and Harish Shankar’s third collaboration, after Shock and Mirapakay. The film also stars Yaariyan-2 fame Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead, making her Telugu debut. The film is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory.
The ‘mass reunion’ appears to pay an ode to Hindi cinema’s legend Amitabh Bachchan. Mickey J Meyer is scoring the music for the film, which has Ayananka Bose as the cinematographer. Mr Bachchan will be Ayananka's third collaboration with Harish Shankar after Duvvada Jagannadham and Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Avinash Kolla is handling the production design for the film while Salaar, KGF-fame Ujwal Kulkarni is the editor of the film.
Panorama Studios and T Series are also involved in the production of Mr Bachchan. Although the makers have been tight-lipped about the rest of the cast members, fans have been curious to know who will be essaying the role of Saurabh Shukla, who played the antagonist in the original, in the remake flick.
