Mouni Roy discusses her role of Junoon in 'Brahmastra': Wild, manic, magic, beautiful

Mouni Roy is currently enjoying the success of her film Brahmastra in which she plays the role of Junoon. On Tuesday, Mouni uploaded a shot from the movie on Instagram, adding, "Wild, manic, magic, beautiful and free, Just like the wind, forest & the sea." Her comment was followed by the hashtag JUNOON.

The picture is from the movie's introductory sequence, in which Shah Rukh Khan's character Mohan Bhargav encounters Mouni's Junoon. In the movie, Mouni portrays the adversary who is looking for Brahmastra.

During its first weekend in India, Brahmastra received favourable reviews from critics and made over Rs100 crore through the Hindi language alone. The audience was quite impressed with Mouni's portrayal of the character and on the day of the movie's release, #MouniRoy became a trending topic on Twitter.

On the day when Brahmastra was released, Mouni posted a message in support for her filmmaker, Ayan Mukerji. The actor captioned a photo of him on Instagram stating, “The genius of this man created this Astraverse. Our labour of love is yours now.

Please give us all your love & blessings.Hari Om. #BRAHAMASTRA”

Meanwhile, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagarjuna, was released on September 9. The Ayan Mukerji directorial has consistently gained popularity among users on social media. Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, the first film in a series, introduces the Astraverse, a brand-new cinematic universe. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone both participate in the film in cameo roles.
