Mother Song promo from Ajith's Valimai: A soulful track in the offing as Vignesh Shivan-Sid Sriram team up

The wait for the most anticipated second single from Ajith-starrer Valimai comes to an end. The makers came up with a promo of the song, titled Mother Song, the duration of which is less than a minute. It begins with Ajith uttering the first two lines of the song, Naan paartha mudhal mugam nee, naan ketta mudhal kural nee.

Sid Sriram has lent the voice for the song which appears to be a soulful and pleasant track for which Vignesh Shivan has penned the lyrics. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music for the slow-paced track. 

Vignesh was the lyricist for Naanga Vera Maari, too, the first single from the film, which was released four months ago. Produced by Boney Kapoor under Bay View Projects, along with Zee Studios, Valimai is all set to hit the screens on January 13, 2022. 

Unveiling Mother Song from his Twitter account, he tweeted, "Tugging at your heart-strings, #MotherSong from #Valimai out on 5th Dec at 6:30PM." Fans of Ajith are eagerly awaiting an official announcement on the movie's release date from Boney Kapoor, along with an update on its teaser and trailer.   

With Valimai being a solo release for Pongal festival, there are news coming up that its theatrical rights have been getting sold for a whopping price across Tamil Nadu. Siva's Viswasam (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), which released in 2019, was the last Pongal release of Ajith. 

Though the film was rumoured to hit the screens on Deepavali, along with Rajinikanth's Annaatthe, the team had surprised one and all by announcing its release in January a few months ago.
